Oscar Evening
A great time was had by all on Friday evening, as the production crews from Dunstan Court and Manchester Foyer met for a slap up three course meal, film premiere and oscar awards ceremony at a very plush Manchester Foyer. Well done to all our talented animators for their hard work and fab films, can’t wait for them to be uploaded here…but till then, here’s some pics of the glamorous evening
Nearly made it
Due to a family bereavement I ended up missing most of the awards screening and most importantly the food. I foolishly thought the M62 would be reasonably clear at teatime on a Friday night, anyhow I ended up driving a total of 120 miles only to arrive just as it all ended. Anyhow a big thanks to everyone involved in the project, the animations are fantastic and I’m getting them on Youtube so they can be embeed in a future Blog.
Meanwhile all the photos from the project for your perusal and enjoyment.
Feelings
Well its week since it all finished and I know Paul and Leila have been burning the midnight oil editing and putting the finishing touches to the animations everyone made last week. When you start planning these types of programmes it all seems a long way off then all of a sudden and with a rush they happened, then there’s the anti climax when they are all finished, done and dusted.
Personally I cant wait for the Oscars next week and the moment the people involved get to see the finished articles.
Well done folks!
It’s a Wrap!
The filming came to an end and the participants got into their characters as they did the voice overs, sound design and titling of each of the films. This is one of the most rewarding elements of animation as it is where the characters are really brought to life and everyone can see all the hard work that goes into animation come together. The three groups completed their films and the Twin Vision team will now make final tweaks before formatting the compilation DVD in time for the premiere…looking forward to celebrating at the ceremony!!
A brief word from our Sponsors
Hi Leila –
A massive thank you to both you and Paul – I have really enjoyed the week and seeing our older and younger customers coming together in such a positive way – and with an amazing product to prove it at the end!
And the filming begins…
The teams continued work on the sets, models and props this morning and we are all very happy with the fantastic results and following a chippy treat for lunch the ‘Missed the Boat’ Production team got started on their animation, whilst ‘Total Mayhem’ were still busily making the final touches to their sets…It’s all looking great but the heat is on as our teams need to complete filming tomorrow so we can edit and add the sound design to our films in time for our world premiere on November 11th!
Day three…
The characters have been made – and wow how great they are…
The props and sets have been created, fish & chips for lunch.
We have two new particpants today – Luke from the Foyer and Chloe – Gail’s grand daughter – who has made us some fantastic ducks!
Pictures to follow….
Artists at Work
Our two production teams joined forces today to get the sets, props and models completed so we can begin filming tomorrow. We had painters, boat makers and party preparers getting stuck in and the results are fantastic
Heads Up
Once our two production teams had decided on their treatmenst and storyboarded their ideas, it was time to get creative making the models. We’ve started with the character’s heads, as facial features are so important in adding emotion, humour and giving life to the characters. Here’s a sneak preview of our crazy characters so far… see if you recognise anyone as some of them are portraits of our participants and staff!
